Community Engagement

In 2019, we were excited to launch a community engagement programme that focused on Highnam Players creating further opportunities to support the wellbeing and sustainability of the wider community.

Every 2 months, members of Highnam Players host a ‘Pop up Pub’ for the community, serving locally sourced beer and cider, alongside a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. In the summer, we host live music and organise food to make a real night of it!  This initiative has brought many people from the community together and offering a space to form new social relationships.

Any profits we make from the pop up pubs throughout the year, are reinvested back into groups within the community. We invite society groups to visit the pop up pub, and if they would like to benefit from this community re-investment programme, to contact Highnam Players in writing stating:

– Details of the group and the purpose of it
– What you intend to use the money for.

Only groups and societies within Highnam, for the benefit of Highnam can apply and details of the groups we support and are currently supporting will be shown here soon.
